The band congregated a selection of original material to lay down in studio. Taking full control, from curating the artwork and design to recording and mixing, they showed no mercy. With this passionate approach, yet a threat to everything we’ve come to expect in this day and age, they crafted their own sound and cultivated an image that is undeniably The Deathrettes.
Dylan Rooibokkie struggles to the edge of sanity in his mind to exude cut-throat concepts – his lyrical output comes from inside, and once it feels good, it’s done.
His organic demeanour seamlessly flows through the course of ‘Kill All The Kings’, stalking consciously through the arrangements before it jumps at you when you least expect it – a group expression that the band has honed as their own. They’ll leave you hanging as you are bewildered, because when it comes to questions and feeling – there is no time for answers.
The band will independently release ‘Kill All The Kings’ on black opaque wax via Qrates, an online vinyl pressing service. Using Qrates, artists and labels can collect pre-orders from fans and fund their pressing cost before actually pressing the vinyl. They call this a ‘Funding Project’. The pressing starts once the desired amount of pre- orders are collected.
